How The Idea works

Got an idea for a business, cause or project? – tell us all about it by answering two simple questions, and get the chance to win one of 40 cash prizes of $250. Your prize money is yours to spend however you like.

Entries are judged on the following criteria:

  • You understand the problem you are trying to solve
  • You understand who you customer is and your customer’s needs
  • Your solution solves the problem identified and fits with your customer's needs
  • You have identified why your solution is important and how it is unique or better than current solutions to the problem

No. In The Idea, you just submit your idea via our online form.

The IP rights for your idea belong to you. By entering The Idea, you won’t be disclosing your idea to the public. When we announce the winners, we’ll only share your name, faculty and the name of your idea – so your genius is safe with us!
